What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol and is one of at least 113 cannabinoids that is extracted from the flowers and buds of marijuana or hemp plants.

Cannabidiol is a non psychoactive and will not get you high. Its a natural occurring substance which can be extracted and mixed with a carrier oil such as hemp seed or coconut oil to create CBD oil.
Is CBD legal? | Yes

CBD is completely legal in the UK.

The home office states that the THC content in each product must be less than 0.2% & less than 1 mg per product.

CBD is sold in many major high street shops in the UK. It is accepted within different types of products.
Will CBD get me high? | No

CBD is a non psychoactive meaning it will not get you high.
How do I take CBD?

There are many ways in which you are able to consume CBD, some of these methods include:

  • Oils & Tinctures - CBD is placed under the tongue, held for at least 1 minute before swallowing.
  • Topical creams - Simply rub the CBD cream, lotion or massage oil onto the skin.
  • Smoking/Vaping - Vaping CBD E-liquid can be vaporised via a vape pen/device.
  • Edibles - CBD infused food/drinks can be consumed simply by eating or drinking the product.
  • Capsules - Capsules are swallowed with water as you would with any other capsule supplement.

    CBD acts upon CB1 and CB2 receptors which are located throughout the body to produce a wide range of outcomes.

    CBD oil interacts with the endocannabinoid system in a way that produces very few side-effects. Every human has an endocannabinoid system!

    The endocannabinoid (ECS) is a network of receptors spread throughout the body including in the brain, immune system, organs, connective tissues and glands.

    This system helps to regulate the central control of energy balance and peripheral metabolic processes.
    Is CBD natural? | Yes

    Yes, 100% natural. CBD is extracted from either the marijuana or hemp plant.
    How much CBD should I take?

    How much CBD you should consume depends on the reason you are taking it, your body weight, CBD tolerance, body type and your level of pain or discomfort.

    The food standards agency (FSA) recommend that you do not exceed 70mg of CBD per day.
